Secure access systems

We operate the strictest security procedures for staff, parents and visitors to our nurseries. At York we have an advanced biometric entry system and at Easingwold we have a pass-coded system – ensuring that only registered parents or members of staff can enter the premises.

We have a strict policy that no parent can admit another parent into the nursery. Every visitor must be admitted individually.

DBS checks

As you would expect, all of our staff are DBS checked and cleared. We use the latest live update system to regularly check the DBS status of our staff.

Strict safeguarding policies

We have a no-mobile-phone policy throughout our nurseries and mobile phones are never permitted in the rooms with the children. Parents are also not able to bring mobile phones into the nursery. We make no apologies for being strict about this policy, since it is essential to the way we safeguard the children and protect their privacy.

To ensure data security, all our systems and processes our GDPR compliant. That means we handle and store data in line with strict national standards.
