Our story began with the opening of our York nursery in 2004. Our purpose-designed facilities were converted from the former primary school and library in Osbaldwick village, on the outskirts of York.

Tiddlywinks rapidly gained an Ofsted Outstanding rating and a reputation for excellence in nursery provision for children aged from birth to five years.

The former school built in the 1800’s was converted into purpose-built facilities for children of different ages. Providing separate fully equipped and stimulating rooms for all age groups, with plenty of bespoke outdoor space to enable children to flow freely between the indoors and outdoors.

Expansion into Easingwold

In 2015, Tiddlywinks purchased and renovated an existing nursery in Easingwold town centre. As well as three specially equipped rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, we also have a huge and exciting outdoor space to implement our forest school ethos. Children spend much of their time outdoors, learning, exploring and making their own adventures. An outdoor classroom means we can use this outdoor space in all weathers, enabling the children to enjoy the benefits of fresh air and outdoor exploration all year round.
